VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

Vision (University of St. Thomas): Lived in an immigration shelter for two weeks in El Paso, Texas in January of 2019. Spent time speaking with immigrants, meeting with immigrant advocates and completing community mural.

Pivotal Directions: Spent 6 summers in Kingston Jamaica volunteering in schools, orphanages, and fundraising money for communities.

Cavalier Johnson Addresses Young Voters After Historic Election

The city of Milwaukee woke up Wednesday to its first elected African-American mayor. This historic election comes at a time when a majority minority city is currently crying out to city leaders to address the increase in crime and violence.

Johnson was acting mayor in place of now United States Ambassador to Luxembourg Tom Barrett beginning December of 2021. Residents were expecting Johnson to win. The final tally showed Cavalier Johnson ended up with 62,143 total votes giving him a 72% lead. H

Will Smith, Jaden: Slap at Oscars Draws Son's Reaction

Jaden Smith is one of many people reacting on Twitter to what several have referred to as, “the slap heard around the world.” The 94th Academy Awards have been overshadowed by a highly controversial Chris Rock joke at Jada Pinkett Smith’s expense… and a slap from Will Smith seconds later.

With the surprising draft opinion leak by Politico Monday night that indicated the United States Supreme Court was looking to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision, many Wisconsinites are wondering how this would affect access to abortions.
